2023 Jenx Impact Review

Let’s make all businesses however big or small, more purposeful, more environmentally conscious and more community minded.

I launched Jenx in September 2023 with the purpose to help small businesses become more successful.

So many small businesses and new business ideas fail. The stats are alarming “first-time small business owners have a success rate of 18%” and I want to put my knowledge and experience towards trying to stop this happening. If you are solving a problem for people then my mission is to help you be successful at it.

One of the important things when setting up a company are the core values and principles you embody, each and every day. Being a humanitarian two of my six values are Community at Heart & Be a Good Human. These characteristics flow through the daily operations of the business however for me it's been very important to be able to tangibly show impact. We do this by promising to support climate initiatives, donating 1% to global social initiatives and supporting local community in anyway we can.

2023

In 2023 we supported various projects under the 3 pillars of Climate, Social and Local.

Climate:

  • Planted 59 trees
  • Supported the prevention of 3.97 tCO2e from being emitted through 5 verified carbon avoidance projects. Read more here.

Social:

  • Following the devastating atrocities in Gaza we donated to the Médecins Sans Frontières' to provide medical humanitarian aid

Local:

  • Supported local gofund me projects to help local families during difficult times
  • Provided Christmas presents for children and teens in the local community
  • Supported the Wujal Wujal residents following the devastating impact of Tropical Cyclone Jasper

Making businesses a springboard for purposeful action

Helping others has so many benefits. It makes you feel happier, gives you a sense of purpose and some say it even helps you live longer! This concept is not knew. But can we now take this one step further and make the businesses we work for, or the companies that we run more accountable for driving the force of good?

Let’s make all businesses, however big or small, more purposeful, more environmentally conscious, and more community minded. And the impact if all businesses adopt one positive change, will be huge.

To quote Richard Branson, lets all

“Explore this next great frontier where the boundaries between work and higher purpose are merging into one, where doing good really is good for business”.

Plus we'll all be happier humans as a result.
